“Nuns in Disguise” (original title: “Drinking Habits”) is a farce by Tom Smith, built on secrets, misunderstandings and comic coincidences. The show can be seen at the Municipal Centre of Culture and Art in Oleśnica. The authors note that the similarity of the title to the film is coincidental.
The action takes place in a convent. Two nuns want to save the institution from financial collapse and closure, so they secretly produce and sell wine. Their peace is disturbed by journalists who suspect that something shady is going on behind the walls. At the same time, a young woman searching for her past joins the community, which complicates the situation even further. Successive mistakes, disguises and mounting lies lead to an avalanche of events and unexpected plot twists. It is a classic comedy of errors, for audiences looking for laughter and theatrical entertainment.
