Events in Wrocław and Lower Silesia in one calendar: concerts, plays, cabaret and film screenings, with tickets a few clicks away.
This is a calendar for the whole region, not only for its capital. The town is a filter, so you can start with Wrocław or narrow the list straight away to Wałbrzych or Jelenia Góra. The pages for single types, such as theatre and concerts, show one genre and lead on to specific venues.
Open the list, choose a town and a type of event, and the calendar keeps only the matching listings. Wrocław has the most, but the list also covers Jelenia Góra, Wałbrzych, Bolesławiec, Oława, Lubin, Legnica, Kłodzko and smaller towns of the region. Then open the event you like and check the venue and the Buy ticket button.
The simplest way to start is to ask what you feel like tonight: music, laughter, movement on a stage or a dark cinema hall. The calendar collects it all in one place, so you do not have to check the websites of a philharmonic, a culture centre and a cinema one by one. If you are planning a weekend, leave several towns open at once and compare what is on in the area before you decide where to go.
Because dates change from day to day, do not look here for the fixed repertoire of one hall. The calendar shows what is on sale or has been submitted by organisers. Permanent institutions are described under theatre and opera and in the culture section.
The biggest sections are music, theatre, cabaret and cinema. Next to them there are events for children, walks and trips, dance, sport, workshops, festivals, and fairs and markets. Each main type has its own page with a town filter, and this calendar combines them all.
If you do not know what to pick, choose the type that feels least like a night at home. A puppet show for adults or a concert in a church often turns out better than yet another film at a multiplex.
Concerts gather around the Radio Wrocław Concert Hall, the National Forum of Music and the Stary Klasztor club, and plays around Impart Centrum and the ATM Stage in Bielany. Film screenings are at the Lower Silesian Film Centre, and the biggest shows go to the Centennial Hall.
The National Forum of Music on Plac Wolności (Freedom Square) is a cultural institution with its own orchestras and choirs, and the building has four halls and an organ. The Centennial Hall is a UNESCO World Heritage site that holds up to ten thousand people, so it is the place for events on a large scale. Smaller evenings are held in clubs such as Klub Wędrówki, Stary Klasztor with its Stained Glass Hall, or Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant.
Unusual addresses reach the calendar too. Concerts are sometimes held in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St Christopher and in the Oratorium Marianum, and among the venues with an attraction card is the Synagogue under the White Stork, one of two active synagogues in the city. When you choose such an evening, read the description of the place first, because entry rules differ from those in a classic hall.
Outside the regional capital the biggest calendars belong to Jelenia Góra, Wałbrzych, Legnica, Bolesławiec, Lubin and Oława, and each of these towns has its own events page. Pick the one on your way and see what is on the same evening.
In Jelenia Góra concerts are held at the Lower Silesian Philharmonic, and plays and shows at the Jelenia Góra Cultural Centre and the Zdrojowy Animation Theatre. In Wałbrzych you will find the Sudeten Philharmonic, as well as Klub A'propos and Kino Apollo. To this list add Stara Kopalnia, a revitalised former mining complex with an industry museum, a ceramics studio and a contemporary art gallery, which also hosts events.
In Legnica check the Legnica Cultural Centre and Teatr Avatar, and in Bolesławiec the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre with its FORUM hall and Teatr Stary. The calendar of Lubin rests on the MUZA Cultural Centre, and that of Oława on the European Cooperation Centre "Odra". Separate evenings turn up in Szczawno-Zdrój at the Teatr Zdrojowy, and in Kłodzko, Oleśnica, Trzebnica and Bogatynia, while cinemas operate in Oborniki Śląskie, Sobótka and Trzebnica.
On the event card click Buy ticket. The button leads to the ticketing service KupBilecik or Bilety24, where you choose seats and pay. The rules of sale, refunds and entry are set by the organiser or the service, so read them before you buy.
The calendar is fed by an import from these two services, run every night, and by submissions from organisers. That makes the list fresh, but it does not replace first-hand information. Before you travel to another town, confirm the date and the time with the organiser, and if the hall changes, check the venue page. For events in large venues, look at the description of how to get there and where to enter.
The easiest way is to pick an attraction next to the hall. Before or after a performance, visit places from the attraction cards, and treat the calendar as the anchor of the whole day. A few simple sets work well.
If you are not sure what is near the hall, open the list of all attractions and narrow it to the town. A well planned day starts with sightseeing and ends with an evening event.
Start with the evening that is hardest to get, usually the biggest hall, and fit the rest of the day around it. The calendar makes this easy because all events in a town are side by side, with no need to jump between organisers' websites.
The same pattern works if you live outside Wrocław and pick two towns at once. The calendar lets you set one evening in Wałbrzych against another in Jelenia Góra, and you can plan the trip between them separately in your map app.
Yes, families have a separate page with suggestions: events for children. There you will find plays, concerts and activities that organisers submitted as family events, also outside Wrocław.
It is also worth checking puppet and animation theatres. The Wrocław Puppet Theatre has a repertoire for children, young people and adults, and Jelenia Góra has the Zdrojowy Animation Theatre. Check in the event description which age group it is meant for, because that information comes from the organiser.
From the ticketing services KupBilecik and Bilety24, which we import every night, and from submissions by organisers. Always confirm dates with the organiser.
Click the Buy ticket button next to the event. It takes you to the ticketing service KupBilecik or Bilety24, where you finish the purchase.
No. By default it shows the whole region, and the town is a filter. You can narrow the list to Wrocław or choose, for example, Jelenia Góra, Wałbrzych or Legnica.
Concerts are on the music page, and performances are in the theatre section. Cabaret and film screenings have their own pages, and permanent theatres and concert halls are in the attractions catalogue.
Change the town to a neighbouring one or remove the type filter. If you prefer a day without a ticket, browse the culture attractions, which include museums, libraries and galleries.
