Theatre performance based on the text by John Chapman and Jeremy Lloyd (original title: “Business Affairs”). It explores who really rules the home and who rules the company, and whether business can be separated from family life. It also asks whether men earn money only so their wives can live like “queens of life”. Cast:
Two friends and business partners plan to sell a transport company to Germans. The deal is supposed to secure them early retirement and life in two luxurious Spanish villas, and the deposit has already been paid. It is unclear, however, whether their wives share this enthusiasm. The negotiations were meant to go smoothly, but the counterparts expect a meeting at a hotel accompanied by two “escorts”. Suddenly, the partners' wives appear in the hotel room.
A series of mistakes and misunderstandings forces the wives to play the roles of flirtatious, self-assured “women of loose morals”. They become completely different women, which excites their husbands and turns the situation upside down. The question remains whether they can save both the business and their marriages from this chaos. A finale that will surprise everyone is promised.
Director: Wojciech Błach. Costumes: Józefina Loy. Set design: Zuzanna Markiewicz.
