The Viennese concert “In the Land of the Csárdás” (Captivating Gypsy Songs) will take place on 12.11.2026 at 7:00 PM at Stara Kopalnia in Wałbrzych. The program features soloists, classical ballet dancers, and a chamber orchestra. On stage:
The first part of the concert begins in old Vienna and explores the fascination with Romani folklore in composers such as Strauss, Lehár, and Kálmán. In the second part, listeners will travel with a Gypsy caravan to various countries and cultures of Europe, including Austria, Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Balkans, Spain, and Italy. The organizers promise violin paraphrases and fantasies by Maryjan Lomaha, singing by Agata Sava and Nazar Tatsyshyn, and classical ballet dance. Compositions by J. Strauss, F. Lehár, I. Kálmán, F. Kreisler, V. Monti, J. Brahms, and G. Bizet will be performed, along with original paraphrases by Artur Banaszkiewicz, such as Countess Maritza's Csárdás and Monti's Csárdás. The entire program will be performed by the Woytek Mrozek Chamber Orchestra, described as international and the only one of its kind in Poland, together with a troupe of classical ballet dancers.
