“A Christmas Recipe”

“A Christmas Recipe” is a film about Ida (Zofia Jastrzębska), a young woman who loves baking and dreams of owning her own patisserie. The main roles are also played by Piotr Stramowski as Piotr and Sonia Mietielica as Klara.

The story unfolds in the weeks before Christmas. At the bank, Ida meets Piotr, a director whose sense of humor and uncompromising attitude fascinate her. Piotr also meets another new person at that time: his 10-year-old son Nikodem, whose existence he has only just learned about.

The boy's arrival is a major challenge for Piotr, who is focused on his career, and for his moody partner Klara. Both need help with household chores, and Ida responds to their advertisement. In this unusual situation, surrounded by the scent of Christmas baking, feelings come to the fore.

Practical information: the screening will take place on November 6, 2026, at 5:45 PM at the Bolesławiec Culture Centre (FORUM Hall) in Bolesławiec.
