The “Śląsk” Song and Dance Ensemble presents a Christmas show of carols and pastorales interwoven with regional and national dances. The concert takes place on 4 January 2027 at 5:00 p.m. at the Narodowe Forum Muzyki in Wrocław.
The programme includes carols rooted in the centuries-old Christmas tradition:
- “Bóg się rodzi”
- “Jezus malusieńki”
- “Cichą Noc”
- “Adeste fideles”
An important place is given to original compositions by Stanisław Hadyna, with lyrics by Kazimierz Szemiot:
- “Na pasterkę gorole”
- “Pasterze nie zwlekali”
- “Święta to biele”
The patriotic “Polonez-kolęda” will also be performed. The dance part features choreographies by Elwira Kamińska, the ensemble's first choreographer:
- “Trojak”
- “Kujawiak-Oberek”
- “Krakowiak”
We will also hear “Polonez-Mazur” choreographed by Władysław Stefanik. The show is rounded out by highlander storytelling (gawędy) by Hanna Nowobilska, which evokes the festive mood.
