“Swan Lake” is the most famous ballet by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. It will be performed by Młody Balet Polski, which is making its first appearance in Wrocław. The show is family-friendly and so far has only been seen by audiences at the Teatr Palladium in Warsaw.
The main character is Princess Odetta, who has been turned into a swan by the evil sorcerer Rotbart. Siegfried, who is in love with her, will do everything to save her. Audiences will see whether their love can overcome the dark forces, or whether Odetta can break the curse and return to the human world.
The story combines dance with Tchaikovsky's music. It portrays the battle between good and evil, as well as betrayal, pain, and a love that transcends the boundaries of life and death.
Practical information: the performance lasts 60 minutes, without an intermission.
