A concert devoted to Georges Bizet’s opera “Carmen” and Spanish stage music will take place on November 7, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the Sala Sesyjna of Wrocław Główny railway station. Soloists, the Balet Teatru Scena Kamienica, and the Chamber Musicians of Operetka Wrocławska will perform.
The programme features the best-known excerpts from “Carmen”:
Selected zarzuela excerpts and Spanish dances will complete the programme. Zarzuela is a genre popular on the Iberian Peninsula that combines singing, dance and theatrical elements. The instrumental dances included alongside it are meant to showcase Spanish musical tradition.
Practical information: the concert lasts 90 minutes. The hall opens 30 minutes before the start. Seating is unnumbered. The Sala Sesyjna is located above the main entrance to the station hall from ul. Piłsudskiego. It is decorated with a 150-year-old historic coffered ceiling in gold, covered with a marbling technique imitating wood grain. The complex offers a lift, a cloakroom and toilets. The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the programme and performers.
