“Unexpected Return” is a play in which many storylines intertwine. Daniel Olbrychski and Kamil Kula take the stage. The production is by Teatr Gudejko, the company behind “Obsessive Compulsive Disorder”, “Between the Beds” and “Naked and Merry”.
Daniel Olbrychski plays an actor who is about to take on the role of King Lear. He knows the stage fright and high hopes that come with such a challenge, having faced them himself in leading roles in Shakespeare's plays. The backdrop to the hero's acting dilemmas is a complicated family life: troubles with partners, parents and children.
An important character is the hero's son, played by Kamil Kula. Known from many TV and film productions, he is an actor with great comic talent. He has been a son since birth, so stepping into this role should not be difficult for him.
