About this event

The film “How to Live Without Going Mad,” directed by Tomasz Konecki and Iwona Ogonowska-Konecka (Poland, 2026), will be screened in the “Knitting Cinema” format at Dolnośląskie Centrum Filmowe, in Sala Lwów. The source does not provide the cast.

The heroine is Anka, whose life seems successful: she has a loving husband, children, a good job and an apartment downtown. Soon, however, everything falls apart. Her husband cheats, she loses her job, the children are moody, and a bailiff takes an interest in the apartment. Anka faces a choice: lie down and die of despair, or start living on her own terms. She has to pull herself together, cut ties with her overprotective mother, make peace with her children and find a new purpose for herself. According to the description, the recipe for a “new Anka” is a handful of courage, plenty of self-confidence, a pinch of independence and an ocean of humor.

The screening takes place with the lights dimmed slightly, so you can watch the film and knit at the same time. The event is aimed primarily at advanced knitters who can work on their project without checking every stitch. Please bring your own yarn.

Practical information: if the event is cancelled, refunds are issued automatically, and confirmation is sent to the email address provided at purchase.
