I Am Rocky

“I Am Rocky” is a film about the making of the cult classic “Rocky.” It follows Sylvester Stallone's journey, back when he was an unknown actor, before he became one of the greatest icons of world cinema. The story begins in New York in the mid-1970s. Stallone barely makes ends meet. He writes a screenplay about a boxer from a poor Philadelphia neighborhood and begins to see in it not only a chance for success but also a reflection of his own life. Nobody, however, believes he should play the lead. Producers make him generous offers, but he turns down one proposal after another and stubbornly fights for the right to play the hero he created. In doing so, he risks his career, his money and his family's future. A story about determination, courage and belief in yourself. These qualities led to the creation of a film that became a worldwide phenomenon, earning 10 Oscar nominations and 3 statuettes.
