Stary Klasztor is hosting a St. Andrew's Eve concert, “QUEENS OF COUNTRY”, on 27 November, featuring the biggest hits from American country music stars. The evening will be hosted by Wrocław vocalists Marzena Matyla and Monika Wiśniowska-Basel, who will be joined on stage by a band of musicians associated with Stary Klasztor.
The programme traces women's journey through country music, from Dolly Parton through Shania Twain to Beyoncé's country sound. The organisers promise both classic hits and contemporary reinterpretations, where country blends with pop, soul and rebellion. The concert aims to honour the female voice across decades, presenting women's country not only as ballads but also as manifestos of independence and freedom.
The event will include line dance lessons for cowboys of all ages, as well as group dances. Guests dressed in country style (hat, jeans, fringes, cowgirl boots) can use discounted tickets.
One ticket covers both concerts. In the Gothic Hall of Stary Klasztor, between and after the country sets, THE KINGS OF DISCO will play the biggest disco, funk & dance hits. The schedule is arranged so the concerts do not overlap. The Stary Klasztor restaurant will be open all evening with a special St. Andrew's Eve menu, and guests can take part in traditional St. Andrew's Eve fortune-telling.
