About this event

A stage adaptation of Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan tetralogy explores the novel's central themes and storylines. The creators follow the protagonist, Elena Greco, through adolescence and her conscious shaping of her own identity. What drives her are her relationships with others, social and educational aspirations, and her dream of escaping social hardship, growing, becoming a writer, and succeeding. It is a story about how strongly family, background, and social pressure shape our lives, and also about the courage to become who you want to be.

Recommended for ages 16+.
