Ethno Jazz Festival announces the Polish premiere of Nouvelle Vague's latest project, “A Date With Depeche Mode”. The French collective will perform on January 31 at Sala Gotycka in Stary Klasztor in Wrocław. The programme features Depeche Mode songs in Nouvelle Vague's interpretation.
“A Date with Depeche Mode” is Nouvelle Vague's seventh album. For the first time, it is entirely dedicated to the work of a single band. Thirteen Depeche Mode tracks have been reimagined by new voices. The record was made in Rio de Janeiro with Brazilian musicians, creating a dialogue between the musical soul of Brazil and the world of Depeche Mode, presented in Nouvelle Vague's distinctive style.
The first single from the album is the duet “Enjoy the Silence”, performed by Skye Edwards (Morcheeba) and Larry Love (Alabama 3).
The Wrocław concert will showcase how the entire album sounds live.
