“Picasso's Mermaid” is a film screened at Kino Polkowice on 5 November 2026 at 5:00 PM. The story begins in a small apartment in Warsaw, where Mary accidentally discovers a drawing of a mermaid on the wall. It turns out Pablo Picasso drew it during a visit in 1948.
The heroine is delighted by the discovery, but doesn't realize the mermaid will change her life. Living behind the wall is Radomski, an elderly man and retired journalist who remembers Picasso's visit. He is not pleased by the discovery, because old matters resurface for him, mostly ones he had already forgotten.
Radomski's thoughts return to Picasso's visit and to the fate of the neighbors who, in exchange for their apartment, had to show the mermaid to anyone interested.
