Que Passa performs on November 15 at Sala Witrażowa. Their music blends flamenco with jazz, tango and world music, with guitar, accordion and cajón shaping the sound. The concert is for those who seek not only the tradition of flamenco but also its contemporary sound.
Que Passa is one of the pioneers of flamenco fusion in Poland. The band was formed in Kraków in 1996 on the initiative of guitarist and composer Jarosław Dzień. Its musical language grows out of flamenco but also includes jazz improvisation, Latin American rhythms, tango expressiveness and world music colors. The core of the program is original compositions by Jarosław Dzień, in which melody enters into dialogue with rhythm and lyrical passages give way to dynamic climaxes. The band also performs pieces by:
- Astor Piazzolla
- Al Di Meola
- Paco de Lucía
- John McLaughlin
- Acoustic Alchemy
In Wrocław, Que Passa will perform as a quartet:
- Jarosław Dzień: nylon-string guitar and vocals
- Marcin Hilarowicz: acoustic guitar and cajón
- Jakub Mietła: accordion
- Mirosław Hady: cajón and percussion
The concert is part of the 4th Miasto Krasnali Flamenco Festival. The festival program includes concerts, workshops and a mini fair inspired by Spanish culture.
