Royal Classical Ballet - Swan Lake

“Swan Lake” is a classical ballet performed by the Royal Classical Ballet under the direction of Marcin Rolczyński. The music is by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and the production is one of the most famous ballets in the world. The story is about love, magic and sacrifice. Young Prince Siegfried falls in love with Odette, whom a powerful sorcerer has turned into a swan. The sorcerer Rothbart vows to destroy their love and uses intrigue, manipulation and illusion to do so. The central question of the performance is whether love and determination are enough to overcome the forces of evil. The costumes draw on the elegance of classical ballet, and the set is designed to evoke the fairy-tale world of the story. The choreography is built on the basic elements of classical dance: lightness, precision and perfection of form. At the same time, it allows the characters' emotions and experiences to be expressed. Tchaikovsky's music is among the most recognizable ballet scores. The performance is aimed both at ballet lovers and at those who are just discovering the art of dance.
