SOYKA / GROTT Orkiestra - A Tribute to the Maestro

“SOYKA / GROTT Orkiestra - A Tribute to the Maestro” is a concert devoted to the music of Stanisław Soyka, composer, vocalist and pianist, whose body of work, spanning over four decades, continues to reach new generations of listeners. On stage: Grott Orkiestra and invited soloists. Stanisław Soyka and Grott Orkiestra began working together in 2020. The artist's jazz sensibility met the chamber, modern sound of the family band founded by Kama Grott-Tomaszek and Michał Grott. The result was the project “Dusza”. In the following years, the musicians performed together at festivals and on stages, staying in close contact with audiences. The programme will feature Stanisław Soyka's most important compositions, including “Tolerancja (Na miły Bóg)”, “Cud niepamięci” and “Są na tym świecie rzeczy”. Alongside them, less obvious, intimate pieces from his repertoire will be heard. All songs will be performed in original arrangements by Michał Grott, which emphasise their lyricism, jazz ease and natural elegance. The guests will approach Soyka's work from different musical perspectives, and their varied stage experience and interpretive styles aim to present familiar songs in new shades. Performing in rotation: - Kasia Groniec - Stanisław Kukulski - Kasia Moś - Wojciech Myrczek - Iza Połońska - Renata Przemyk - Paulina Przybysz - Janusz Radek - Skubas - Nina Sojka The organisers stress that this is a concert full of memories, but not only a nostalgic one, because Stanisław Soyka's songs still need to be heard live.
