“Train to Classics - Journey Around the World” is, according to the organizers, not a concert but a musical journey. The programme combines music, dance, storytelling, humour and audience interaction. Singers and dancers appear on stage, while the orchestra, known as the Train’s crew, sets the pace and direction of the whole show.
The route departs from the city where the show takes place. Each station has its own rhythm and mood:
On the return journey, operatic drama, Spanish passion, Italian lyricism and French elegance appear. The finale takes place in the spirit of Vienna.
Along the way, the audience is also accompanied by a passenger, the First Class Melomane. He knows the musical routes inside out, understands what lies within the notes, and knows where it's worth lingering. His role is also to blur the line between stage and audience.
