Stand-up Kłodzko | Rafał Rutkowski in “Time Machine”

In his fourth solo show, Rafał Rutkowski travels through time. In his signature style, he sets the present against the past.

Were things better back then? Are we living in the best times right now? Is artificial intelligence humanity's hope, or the beginning of its end? How much has technology changed us? Are we smarter than our ancestors? Or is human stupidity doing better than ever? Rutkowski also goes back to his childhood in the People's Republic of Poland and recalls the absurdities of those times. He remembers the phenomenon of the Fiat 126p, queues for mustard, meat ration coupons, and parties during martial law. He also talks about his first trip “to the West” and long-distance flirting with his Swedish wife. He reveals how he impressed a girl with aerobatics and how he used contraception in Belarus.
