A meeting devoted to the film “The Last Viking,” directed by Anders Thomas Jensen (Denmark, Sweden, 2025), will take place as part of the High/Low Cortisol series. It will be led by Marta Kożuchowska, a film scholar and online creator known as O_oezu. The film is a tragicomedy about two brothers and a treasure hunt, and it also shows how the past connects with the future.
The conversation will cover, among other things:
High/Low Cortisol is a new original film series that combines different genres, themes and levels of tension. Films are selected along two lines. “High cortisol” means action, tension and a distrustful, critical view of the world. “Low cortisol” means bittersweet films full of humor, tenderness, ordinary-yet-extraordinary stories and human emotions, which make you smile, feel moved or simply have a good time.
The idea behind the series is that everyone perceives a film a little differently, and that difference easily gets lost when there is no one to talk to about the story you've watched. The meetings are meant to lead participants out of their own bubble of perception, help them learn something about themselves and stimulate critical thinking. Marta Kożuchowska has worked on pop culture in the broad sense, film and commentary on reality for many years.
Practical information: meetings within the series take place once a month.
