A peak 723 m above sea level on a side spur of Śnieżnik, built of gneiss, with an open summit.
Białek is a peak on a side spur of Śnieżnik, within the Śnieżnik Landscape Park, a few kilometres from the village of Jodłów in Kłodzko County. It is 723 metres high and built of gneiss rocks belonging to the Lądek-Śnieżnik metamorphic complex.
Białek forms the high point of a side spur of Śnieżnik, separated by short, deep valleys of the Bielica and Szklarka streams. It lies in the Sudetes, in the part of the Śnieżnik Massif protected as the Śnieżnik Landscape Park, together with other peaks of the same group, such as Mały Śnieżnik or Jasień.
The summit is built of gneiss rocks of the Lądek-Śnieżnik metamorphic complex, and its slopes are covered by lower-montane spruce forest. The summit itself is open, allowing views over the surrounding ridges without having to look for a dedicated viewpoint.
The blue-marked E3 trail runs along the ridge above Białek, leading from Międzylesie to Hala pod Śnieżnikiem. The route does not descend to the summit itself, so reaching it means leaving the main trail. In this part of the massif it is also worth considering a climb to the nearby Goworek or Puchacz.
