About Biesiec

A wooded summit 833 m above sea level in the Bystrzyckie Mountains, the highest in their north-western part, with a blue tourist trail.

Biesiec is a summit in the Central Sudetes, in the north-western part of the Bystrzyckie Mountains, in the municipality of Szczytna in Kłodzko County. It reaches 833 metres above sea level and is one of the higher summits here.

The highest point of this part of the range

Biesiec is the highest summit in the north-western part of the Bystrzyckie Mountains. Before the war it carried the German name Todte Mann. The summit is covered by artificially planted spruce forest with an admixture of beech and sycamore maple, typical of many Sudetes summits shaped by forestry management.

The blue trail and Rozdroże pod Bieścem

A blue tourist trail runs over the summit, linking the Pod Muflonem PTTK mountain shelter with the Przełęcz Spalona pass. Nearby is an important junction of trails and forest roads, known as Rozdroże pod Bieścem.
