Biskupiński Park

Wrocław
About Biskupiński Park

A roughly 10-hectare park in Wrocław's Biskupin estate, with a playground, tennis courts and sports pitches.

Biskupiński Park covers about 10 hectares in Wrocław's Biskupin estate, in the area known as the Great Island. It borders Stanisława Noakowskiego, Jacka Malczewskiego and Braci Gierymskich streets, as well as the Szczytnicko-Bartoszowicka embankment, running along the Oder.

Nature protection

The park's grounds are part of the Szczytnicki Nature and Landscape Complex, an area of the city under individual protection. The park's current name has been in use since a resolution of the Wrocław City Council of 9 October 1993.

What awaits on site

The park has a children's playground, tennis courts, basketball and football pitches, and a fitness trail. It is a place geared towards active recreation, not just a walk.

Where the park came from

The park's current shape is largely the result of community work: in the late 1970s the League for the Protection of Nature carried out works on its grounds together with young people and residents of the district. This initiative is commemorated by a plaque on a stone, placed at one of the park's entrances on the Pankiewicza street side.

Nearby

Not far from here are the Centennial Hall, the Japanese Garden and Szczytnicki Park, and towards the zoo you can reach the Zoo.
