An isolated peak of the Kowary Ridge in the Karkonosze near Karpacz, reached by a black-marked trail through the Sowia Dolina valley.
Buława is an isolated peak on the western edge of the Kowary Ridge (Grzbiet Kowarski) in the Karkonosze, rising above the Sowia Dolina valley not far from Karpacz.
Buława rises to 890 metres above sea level. It lies on the western edge of the Kowary Ridge, above the Sowia Dolina valley, in an isolated spot that sets it apart from the neighbouring elevations of the range.
The peak is built of metamorphic rock - specifically mica schists in various forms, containing garnets.
Historically the mountain bore the German name Keuligeberg.
Through the Sowia Dolina valley, at the foot of Buława, runs a black-marked hiking trail linking Karpacz with the Przełęcz Sowia pass.
