A brick auxiliary church from 1780 on ul. Żołnierska in Podgórzyn, with three-storey galleries and a mansard roof.
The Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Podgórzyn stands on ul. Żołnierska, at the foot of the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains) near Jelenia Góra. It is a brick auxiliary church, built in 1780 by Protestants on the site of an earlier, wooden church from 1742.
After 1945 the church stood unused for a time. A renovation that restored it to usable condition was carried out between 1979 and 1982. Today the building serves as an auxiliary church of the Holy Trinity parish in Podgórzyn, belonging to the Karpacz deanery of the Diocese of Legnica.
The church has a rectangular plan and three-storey wooden galleries running along the walls inside. The mansard roof is crowned with an octagonal turret topped with a helmet roof. The entrance is marked by a pediment, and stone surrounds frame the basket-arched and semicircular portals and windows. The plinth of the building is rusticated.
Inside you can see furnishings brought from other churches.
