A parish church in the Osiedle Młodych district of Świdnica, consecrated in 2001, with a cornerstone blessed by John Paul II.
The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Poland is a Świdnica parish church on ulica generała Ignacego Prądzyńskiego, in the Osiedle Młodych district.
The parish was established on 6 January 1981. The Wałbrzych voivode granted permission to build the church on 18 October 1980, and the site for the project was handed over under perpetual usufruct on 6 April 1981. Construction work began in spring 1982, and the first Mass was celebrated on 3 May 1982 in a temporary chapel. At that time, Cardinal Józef Glemp blessed the construction site and erected a wooden cross on it.
In 1989, Pope John Paul II blessed the cornerstone, which was subsequently set into the church building. The church was consecrated on 3 June 2001 by Cardinal Henryk Gulbinowicz.
The architectural design of the church was prepared by Marian Tunikowski, and the structural design by Wojciech Święcicki. The interior decoration was completed in March 2009. Above the altar hangs a painting of Our Lady of Częstochowa in a hand-carved baroque frame.
