A filial church from 1902 in the spa district of Duszniki-Zdrój, with furnishings preserved from the time of construction.
The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a Roman Catholic filial church in the spa district of Duszniki-Zdrój, belonging to the parish of St Francis and St Leonard.
The decision to build the church was made in 1897, and the construction work itself lasted from 1899 to 1902. The church stands in the spa district of Duszniki-Zdrój, on a hillside, on a terrace.
The interior has retained its furnishings from the time of construction, including an old stained-glass window in the chancel, thematically linked to the church's dedication.
On 10 May 1945 the church was damaged when a cavalry unit of Latvians serving in the German army, stationed in the nearby Franciscan monastery, detonated ammunition in the promenade hall. The explosion destroyed the tower and the stained-glass windows, and the damage was repaired within a year.
Next to it stands the Church of St Francis and St Leonard and Franciscan Monastery in Duszniki-Zdrój.
Not far away lies the Museum of Papermaking in Duszniki-Zdrój.
Nearby is the Duszniki-Zdrój resort itself.
In the area it is also worth including Linolandia Rope Park Duszniki-Zdrój.
