A neoclassical palace from 1840 in Ciechów, today a private residence under renovation.
Ciechów Palace stands in the village of Ciechów in the Środa Śląska municipality, about 4 kilometres south-west of Środa Śląska, towards Bukówek. It is listed on the heritage register.
The palace was built in 1840, most likely for the von Kalkreuth family or for Heinrich Baum, and underwent major alterations in the third quarter of the 19th century. It is a neoclassical building on a rectangular plan, with a cellar, two storeys and a usable attic. The seven-bay façade has a central projecting section with an arched niche above the entrance.
The building is now a private residence, surrounded by the buildings of a former farmstead: stables, cowsheds, barns and a granary. The owner's efforts to maintain the building are visible, a gradual renovation is under way, and the grounds are well kept. There is no confirmed information about public access to the interior, as it is private property.
Nearby, in Środa Śląska itself, are the Regional Museum in Środa Śląska and the Środa Śląska Water Park. Other residences also stand in the surrounding villages, including Chwalimierz Palace and Ogrodnica Manor.
