A square in Wrocław's Przedmieście Świdnickie, laid out around 1845, today the crossing of Czysta and Podwale streets.
Czysty Square (plac Czysty) lies in Wrocław's Przedmieście Świdnickie, within the boundaries of the Stare Miasto district, south of the former town moat. Today it is the crossing of Czysta and Podwale streets, less than a kilometre from the Market Square.
Before 1945 the square bore the German names Salvator Platz, and later Franz-Seldte-Platz. The name referred to the Protestant Church of the Saviour's Name that once stood here, together with its parish cemetery. The church itself, Wrocław's first Protestant church, burned down in 1854 and is described on the portal today as a separate, former building.
The square was laid out around 1845.
A few hundred metres from here stands the Wrocław Opera.
