Wrocław
About Dąbski Park

A park on Wielka Wyspa in Wrocław, by the Oder, next to the Zoo, Szczytnicki Park and Centennial Hall, with a name in use since 1993.

Dąbski Park lies in Wrocław on Wielka Wyspa (Great Island), in the area of Wittiga, Wróblewskiego and Grobla Szczytnicko-Bartoszowicka streets, right by the Oder. It is a green patch of the Biskupin-Sępolno-Dąbie-Bartoszowice district, neighbouring some of the city's best-known attractions.

Where the name comes from

The park's current name has been in use since 9 October 1993, under resolution no. LXXI/454/93 of the Wrocław City Council on the names of parks and forested areas in the city. Earlier, in German times, the area was called Wilhelm-Bluhm Anlage or Grüneiche.

The park's surroundings

In the immediate vicinity of the park stand student dormitories of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the University of Wrocław, and nearby are the Zoo, Szczytnicki Park and Centennial Hall. The stadium of the Ślęza Wrocław club is also close by.

From the park it is close to Centennial Hall and the neighbouring Wrocław Fountain, and a walk takes you to Wrocław Zoo with the Afrykarium and the more extensive Szczytnicki Park.
