An overgrown ruin of a medieval residential tower in Rakowice Wielkie, one of two surviving in the village, by the railway tracks.
The Ducal Tower in Rakowice Wielkie is the remains of a historic residential defensive tower in the Lwówek Śląski municipality, near the Rakówka stream. It is one of two residential towers that have survived in this village.
The tower stands in ruins, heavily overgrown with grass, shrubs and young trees. It directly borders a railway line used for freight traffic.
About 500 metres to the south stands the Knight's Tower in Rakowice Wielkie, also known as the Town Tower. Unlike the Ducal Tower, it has survived in much better condition, as a three-storey building.
