A complex of exhibition grounds by the Centennial Hall in Wrocław, with a park, a multimedia fountain and an entrance to the Japanese Garden, listed by UNESCO.
The Exhibition Grounds by the Centennial Hall in Wrocław are a building complex created in the early 20th century as the site of major exhibitions, and today form an open space combining the historic hall with a park, a fountain and a garden. The whole complex lies in Zalesie, on the Oder, and has featured on the UNESCO World Heritage list for twenty years.
The core of the grounds is the Centennial Hall itself, next to which stands the Pavilion of Four Domes, and a multimedia fountain operates over the water. The grounds also include a tourist information centre and an entrance to the Japanese Garden. The whole complex serves as a venue for sporting events, trade fairs, cultural and entertainment events, and conferences.
The exhibition grounds border Szczytnicki Park, and nearby, on the other side of the park, is the Wrocław Zoo with the Afrykarium. This is one of the most attraction-dense parts of Wrocław, so a walk around the exhibition grounds themselves is easy to combine with a visit to the neighbouring sites.
