A section of Wrocław's inner ring road with viaducts over Strzegomska Street and the railway lines, built between 2000 and 2003.
Gądowianka Flyover is a section of Wrocław's inner ring road, running through the Gądów-Popowice Południowe, Nowy Dwór and Muchobór Mały estates in the former Fabryczna district. It carries national road no. 5 and no. 94, as well as the international route E261.
The name covers the whole road section from Bystrzycka Street to Szwajcarska Street - the roads, the flyover itself, the slip roads and the remaining road infrastructure. Colloquially, and in a narrower sense, "Gądowianka" refers to the bridge structures themselves: the viaducts and slip roads on the stretch from Bystrzycka to Duńska and Szkocka streets. The further section, which already runs at ground level to Klecińska, Szwajcarska and Francuska streets, is sometimes mistakenly identified with Klecińska Street.
The flyover was built between 2000 and 2003. Along its entire length it is a dual carriageway. The carriageways of the main route are 1652 metres long, and the viaducts - the eastern one 618 metres and the western one 633 metres. The slip roads are counted separately: the eastern one is 168 metres long, the western one 164 metres.
The viaducts provide a grade-separated crossing over Strzegomska Street and over the railway lines, so car and pedestrian traffic here does not cross the tracks or local traffic. The route is one of the more important elements of Wrocław's road network.
