About Gajowicki Park

A neighbourhood park in Gajowice in Wrocław, laid out on the site of a former 19th-century cemetery, with a playground and an outdoor gym.

Gajowicki Park, also known as General Marian Langiewicz Park, is a small park in the Gajowice neighbourhood, within Grabiszyn. It occupies a single city block, bounded by Gajowicka street to the east, Bernarda Pretficza to the north, Wróbla to the west and Sztabowa to the south.

A site of a former cemetery

The park grounds and most of the tree stock are remnants of a cemetery, established here in 1815 and closed in 1958. In German the area was called Gabitzer Begräbnis Platz and Gabitzer Friedhof.
