Garb is a summit in the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains), rising to 1087 m above sea level on the northern slope of the Śląski Grzbiet ridge, above the Kozacka Dolina valley.

Rock and formation

The summit is built of Karkonosze granite, the same rock that makes up the whole of the Śląski Grzbiet ridge. Below the summit lies a rock formation called Bielec.

Nearby

In this part of the Karkonosze it is worth combining the ascent of Garb with a visit to other summits, for example the Śląskie Kamienie or Wielki Szyszak. Also nearby are the Śnieżne Kotły and Chojnik Castle, visible from many surrounding heights.

Practical information

  • Nearest village: Przesieka
  • Location: northern slope of the Śląski Grzbiet ridge in the Karkonosze, above the Kozacka Dolina valley
  • What to expect: granite, rocky mountain terrain; sources do not confirm a marked trail leading to the summit itself, so it is worth checking the route on a current tourist map
