A 120-hectare forest complex on the hills above Oborniki Śląskie, with an educational trail and the remains of a former sanatorium.
The "Grzybek" Landscape and Recreation Park is a compact forest complex on the hills above Oborniki Śląskie, covering a massif with the summits of Grzybek and Holtei's Hill, part of the Trzebnica Hills. It covers 120 hectares and is crossed by hiking trails and an educational trail.
The park lies on a massif of hills with the high points of Grzybek and Holtei's Hill, part of the Trzebnica Hills, in a microregion known as the Trzebnica Ridge. The area is covered by forests and meadows, and the terrain is varied by loess ravines, ponds and forest streams, around which peat bogs form in places.
Among the spots reached by forest paths are Polana Siedmiu Dębów (Seven Oaks Clearing) and a place known as the Beech Cathedral - a fragment of old beech stand. The park also retains the remains of a former sanatorium, including a rest house from 1835, surrounded by ponds.
The "Na Grzybek" nature and educational trail runs through the park, 5 kilometres long and made up of nine themed stations, marked out in 2002. It is complemented by walking and cycling trails and viewpoints along the route. The summit of Holtei's Hill lies within the park's boundaries and is a natural destination for a short walk.
