About Jan Kasprowicz Park in Wrocław

A neighbourhood park in Karłowice-Różanka with a clearing and a plane tree, a playground and an outdoor gym from 2018.

Jan Kasprowicz Park lies in Wrocław's Karłowice-Różanka district, surrounded by aleja Jana Kasprowicza, the Old Oder, the "Śnieżka" allotment garden, and ulica Kazimierza Przerwy-Tetmajera and ulica Wacława Potockiego. It is a quiet neighbourhood green space with a playground and an outdoor gym.

Where the name comes from

The park's current name has been in use since 9 October 1993, under a resolution of the Wrocław City Council on the names of parks and forest areas existing in Wrocław.

A clearing with a plane tree at the centre

The central part of the park is occupied by a clearing with a single, impressive London plane tree. The park has no pond or fountain; the only elevation on its grounds is a small artificial hill with terraced steps with wooden risers, raised on the western side of the clearing.

Playground and outdoor gym

On the western side of the park there is a playground for children aged 4 to 7. Outdoor gym stations are arranged along the eastern and western boundaries, built in 2018 from the participatory budget.
