A forested hill of the Bystrzyckie Mountains (601 m above sea level) with a former viewpoint on the slope called Pustki.
Kawczak is a small hill on the north-eastern edge of the Bystrzyckie Mountains, in the Central Sudetes, above the village of Nowa Bystrzyca.
The peak is 601 m above sea level and lies above the valley of the Upper Nysa, not far from the Śnieżnik Massif.
The eastern slope, formerly called Pustki, was historically a popular viewpoint, reached on foot from Bystrzyca Kłodzka. Much of the slope has become overgrown with forest, but in places where the trees do not block the view, a panorama of Bystrzyca Kłodzka, the Upper Nysa Trench and the Śnieżnik Massif can still be seen.
The summit and slopes are covered with spruce forest mixed with deciduous trees.
The peak of Łubiec lies in the same group of the Bystrzyckie Mountains.
Kawczak also neighbours the mountain Sasanka.
In Bystrzyca Kłodzka itself you can see the Phillumeny Museum in Bystrzyca Kłodzka.
