A peak in the Karkonosze Mountains at 929 metres above sea level, the westernmost summit of the Polish Karkonosze.
Kocierz is a peak in the Karkonosze Mountains, within the Śląski Grzbiet ridge, at a height of 929 metres above sea level. It is the westernmost peak of the Polish Karkonosze.
The peak is built of Karkonosze granite and drops steeply towards the Szklarska Pass.
Until 1958 the state border ran across the summit of Kocierz - first between Prussia and Austria, then between the German Empire and Austria-Hungary, then between Germany and Czechoslovakia, and finally between Poland and Czechoslovakia. In 1958 a border correction took place in the Jakuszyce area: Poland gained the southern slopes of Kocierz in exchange for the village of Tkacze (today part of Harrachov) and the settlement of Zieliniec.
