A baroque manor house from the 18th century in the village of Książnica in the Dzierżoniów municipality, listed in the heritage register together with its park and farm buildings.
Książnica Manor stands in the village of Książnica, in the rural municipality of Dzierżoniów, in Dzierżoniów County. It is a two-winged building from the 18th century, topped with a distinctive four-pitched mansard roof typical of the baroque architecture of that period.
The manor house was built in the 18th century in the baroque style. In the 19th century it underwent a significant rebuilding that shaped its present-day layout, although its recognisable mansard roof remained the main feature of its form.
The manor house itself is only part of a larger whole. The complex includes a landscape park laid out in the 18th and 19th centuries and a farm courtyard with a stable dating from the 18th century. The manor building was entered in the heritage register under number A/4241/768, by a decision of 30 September 1960, and the surrounding park was placed under conservation protection under number A/4240/833/WŁ on 18 September 1981.
Within a few kilometres of Książnica lie the hills of the Owl Mountains, including Szczytna and Radunia. Nearby are also other regional residences, such as the Gogołów Palace and the Grodziszcze Palace, and a little further away another former landed estate, Uciechów Manor.
