The Legnica Market Square is a rectangular square in the centre of the Old Town, divided into the Large Market and the Small Market. It is the main landmark of Legnica's old town, where the most important streets of the city centre converge.
The Market Square is rectangular in shape and is divided into two parts: the Large Market and the Small Market. Złotoryjska, Chojnowska, Najświętszej Marii Panny, Rycerska, świętego Jana, Piekarska and Środkowa streets lead to it, as does Cathedral Square.
Because of its central location and the streets converging here, the Market Square serves as the main square of the old town, around which other Legnica monuments cluster, including the Cathedral of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, the Herring Houses and Piast Castle.
