Ekobiblioteka is a specialised branch of the Tadeusz Gumiński Legnica Public Library, located on Walerian Łukasiński Street 30. Unlike typical neighbourhood branches, it collects materials related to nature and environmental protection and runs environmental education activities.
The book collection numbers over 13,200 volumes, including nature and specialist journals and unpublished materials, hard to find at a typical neighbourhood library. Readers also have access to a subject and regional card index, useful when looking for materials on Legnica and the surrounding area, as well as to internet access on site.
The branch runs library lessons, field trips, competitions, workshops, theatre reviews and environmental marathons, aimed mainly at school and nursery groups on environmental topics.
