About Municipal Cultural Centre

The largest cultural institution in Głogów since 1977, with a performance hall, an art gallery, a theatre and artistic workshops.

The Municipal Cultural Centre in Głogów is the largest cultural institution in the city, operating since 1977. It comprises several units with separate halls and a permanent programme of activities for various age groups.

Building and halls

The centre includes the Culture Centre with a performance hall intended for concerts and shows, as well as a smaller Club Concert Stage for more intimate events. It also houses the Gallery of Creative Education, where exhibitions of artists' work are presented. A separate part of the centre is the Andreas Gryphius Theatre, with its own theatre hall, used both for performances and for concerts and film screenings.

Permanent programme

The institution is engaged in creating, disseminating, supporting and promoting culture in all its forms, and its aim is to prepare residents for active participation in culture. As part of its permanent programme, it runs artistic workshops, including dance, vocal and art classes, workshops for children and theatre classes for young people. The centre also runs groups for adults and seniors, as well as a film club with regular screenings.

Nearby

Close to the centre stand the Castle of the Dukes of Głogów and the Głogów Town Hall. Nearby it is also worth visiting the Bridge of Tolerance, and families with children will find the Głogów Rope Park close by.
