Lisiura

Podgórzyn
About Lisiura

A peak in the Karkonosze Foothills near Podgórzyn, built of Karkonosze granite, with a few small rock outcrops.

Lisiura is a peak in the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains), more precisely in the Karkonosze Foothills, in the Podgórzyn municipality - between Podgórzyn, Przesieka and Sosnówka.

Height and composition

Sources give different heights, from 485 to 525 metres above sea level, most likely because of different measurement points on the massif. The summit is built of Karkonosze granite, and its lower slopes have a few small rock outcrops.

Surroundings

Lisiura is part of a ridge running from Młynarz through Wierzchnica and Warzelnia to Bukowna and Podgórzynka. It is covered by lower montane forest, that is, the lower belt of mountain woodland.

Practical information

  • Location: Podgórzyn municipality, Karkonosze County, between Podgórzyn, Przesieka and Sosnówka
  • Available sources do not indicate a marked trail leading directly to the summit - it is worth planning the route with a tourist map of the area
  • Nearby are Chojnik Castle and the mountain of Chojnik, on which it stands
