A medieval town tower from the 13th century in Lwówek Śląski, the tallest of the town's surviving defensive towers.
Lubań Gate Tower is a medieval defensive tower in Lwówek Śląski, one of the former town towers guarding the entrance to the town.
The tower was built in the 13th century as one of three towers defending the town gates of Lwówek Śląski. It is the tallest of the town's surviving towers. In 1954 it was entered into the heritage register under number 8.
The tower stands in the western part of the old town, close to the Lwówek Śląski Town and Municipality Office housed in the former Hohenzollern palace, at the junction of Kościelna and Orzeszkowej streets. Nearby is the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. A few hundred metres further on lies the market square in Lwówek Śląski, with the Lower Silesian Brewing Museum beside it. Within the former town walls, the Archonatti Bastion also survives, another fragment of the town fortifications.
