The Municipal Public Library in Jawor on Plac Seniora, with access to Legimi, Polona and Academica and a programme of walks around town.
The Municipal Public Library in Jawor on Plac Seniora combines a classic lending section with broad access to digital collections and a programme of cultural meetings.
Readers log in to Legimi and Ibuk Libra for e-books, to Polona for digitised collections of the National Library, to Academica for academic publications, and to Cyfrowy Dolny Śląsk for regional historical materials.
Besides author meetings and poetry competitions, the library organises guided walks around Jawor and exhibitions, and sometimes combines literary evenings with live music. It also runs a summer reading programme for families with children.
The library's website has high- and low-contrast modes, text enlargement and a content reader for people with low vision. The website features a quote from Wisława Szymborska about reading as the most beautiful entertainment humans have invented.
The branch stands close to the centre, a few hundred metres from the Church of Peace and the Regional Museum, and a short walk will also take you to Jawor Castle.
