A park by the Oława river on the former Rakowiec estate in Wrocław, reached by footbridges from the Oławskie Suburb.
Niskie Łąki Park lies in Wrocław, within the former Rakowiec estate, on the right bank of the Oława river. It is a green strip running along the river, separated from the dense development of the centre, yet within walking distance of the Oławskie Suburb.
The park is bordered to the east by Na Niskich Łąkach street, and to the north by the PZ Motu racing track and the Polonia Wrocław club's sports pitch. Its western part is crossed by Żabia Ścieżka, leading to Okólna street, where the green area ends.
Two crossings over the Oława river lead from the Oławskie Suburb to the park: the Żabia Ścieżka Bridge and the Rakowiecki Bridge, located along Na Niskich Łąkach street. This is the simplest way to reach the park from the other side of the river.
The name Niskie Łąki Park is not accidental: it was given by a resolution of the Wrocław City Council of 9 October 1993, concerning the names of parks and wooded areas in the city. Previously the area functioned under the German names Hollandwiese and Volkspark.
From here it's close to the Zoo and the Afrykarium, and a walk along the Oława can take you to the Grunwaldzki Bridge and further towards the Centennial Hall.
