A classicist votive chapel from 1801 by the dirt road from Borówno to Krzeszów, founded by abbot Ildefons Reuschel.
Our Lady of Częstochowa Chapel in Borówno stands at an altitude of 590 metres above sea level, by the dirt road leading to Krzeszów, in the Diocese of Legnica. It is a Roman Catholic votive chapel, formerly called Ildefons's Chapel, today belonging to the parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Czarny Bór.
The chapel was built in 1801 - this date is confirmed by a chronogram, that is, enlarged letters in the Latin inscription on the façade, which, read as Roman numerals, give exactly this year. The inscription states that the chapel in honour of the Virgin Mary was erected by Ildefons, the abbot of Krzeszów. The founder was Ildefons Reuschel (1742-1823), born in nearby Czadrów, the last abbot of the Krzeszów monastery before its dissolution in 1810.
The single-nave building, with one tower and one altar, is built of stone and brick, in the classicist style. In 1883 a renovation was carried out, during which the slate roof covering was replaced with tiles. Between 2006 and 2007 the chapel underwent another, more extensive restoration.
