The largest Icelandic horse stud in Poland, in Dębowy Gaj near Lwówek Śląski, offering recreational countryside riding.
Punktur is the largest Icelandic horse stud in Poland, operating in Dębowy Gaj near Lwówek Śląski.
The stud breeds exclusively Icelandic horses - a breed descended directly from horses brought to Iceland by the Vikings, practically unchanged for more than a thousand years. Distinctive for these horses are additional gaits that most breeds do not have: the tölt and the pace (also called the singlefoot), which give the rider a much smoother, more comfortable ride than a classic trot or gallop.
The offer is aimed at adults, teenagers and children and is based on recreational riding in the countryside rather than training in an indoor arena. The stud operates like an ordinary rural farm - there is no covered paddock or stable with boxes here, and the horses spend most of the year outdoors, in the pastures around Dębowy Gaj.
Within a few kilometres lie attractions of the Kaczawa Foothills and Lwówek Śląski: Wleń Castle, Lwówek Switzerland and the market square in Lwówek Śląski with the old town buildings.
